Now-  While it's on my mind I wanted to tell you all how much I enjoy hearing from you via email/facebook, etc AND how I love to talk to you all in person.  When the room is full (like tonight or other nights) it is SO hard to reach out to everyone like I wish I could so PLEASE know that I try and if I miss ANYONE, I am so sorry.

We try our best to get out of a place and home to our families every night, but at the same time we want you to know you are important and VERY MUCH appreciated!!!

SO-  If we don't get to talk much....PLEASE email me through the week as I have many windows of time to write (which I love to do as you know).

Thanks again...and I hope to see you all New Year's Eve at Classic's OR New Year's Day/Night at Big Shotz Clemmons!!

I was happy and hoping to make some much needed income to comfort the financial blow of the current holiday.

First set was nice...  people were loud... the usual...nothing I could not deal with as I sang cover songs that eveyone knows...

People were dancing (that's always a good sign), however I did ask one couple VERY nicely to back away just a bit to keep from spilling wine on my equipment (pedal board at my feet).

They backed away (for a few minutes, but were right back as I took my first break).

I noticed one guy getting louder and louder... his language became more colorful...and loud so I asked the manager to have him taken out.

Apparently he calmed down (for then).

I was not even 3 songs into my second set when the same guy along with SEVERAL other guys were throwing punches and wrestling one another closer to the stage (while I continued singing)...

It got angry...scary to be honest as I saw a lady fall down and they just walked right over her.

AS I stopped playing, backed up as much as possible while also trying to yell for someone to help her and get those stupid people out of there someone's drinks splashed ALL over my pedal board... and it shut off.

My small fear and worry turned to anger and I began pulling plugs, cables and packing up while the fight club moved outside.

I have seen this kind of thing only a FEW times in the many years I have played live music and I HATE it.

What's wrong with people?  Why can't we just be happy drinkers you know?

Someone once said to me, "That's what you get for playing in bars..." - I answered, "Sadly I have seen fights break out in church shows too."  Sad, but true.

No matter where you go to do something fun or good...  CRAP can be right around the corner.

I took my check and left and I have not decided if I will EVER play there again (due to tonight and just last week a group of college boy douche bags knocking over my merch case and just laughing while they walked away and I cleaned it up).

Respect for dinner, drinks and live music has been flushed down the toilet of our culture and I am sick of it.

My CD release Party?  Was beautiful.  JUST the way a night of music SHOULD be.  People gathered... listening to every word...  being a PART of it...  not just waiting for another Bon Jovi song so they can fill up more rounds of shots and toast the good ol' days... only to have more shots that end up making girls and guys turn into high school Laguna Beach Reality TV bullshit.

2011 will be a VERY different year for me musically and I welcome the change...and all of you who support it.

Doug Davis has a song called "Something's Gotta Change" - Damn right.  Thanks Doug.

Usually Big Shotz Stratford is a quieter venue.  A small bar room with very low lighting (which I really like).

I was planning on getting there and sitting down on a stool to play background acoustic/dinner music, but what happened in the next three hours was just unbelievable.

The crowd was SO into the music.  More than that most of them knew MY songs and sang loudly along with me on many verses.  If you're a song writer, then you might know how that feels (and if you don't, then I hope that someday you will).

There was an energy in that room that was everything music is.  There was laughter, hugs, smiles, goodness all around.  There were people dancing and new friendships being made and THAT is what I want my music to be.

At one point I looked over at a young couple very much in love as the danced together and I said out loud, "that right there makes my long nights worth it".

A humble thanks...again...  I've said many times that I hope to "make it" in the music world...well, thanks to you all...I truly have.  Why would I even dream of wanting more?
